Hi Richard,

Nice to see a good post about getting better rankings for your website. I think smart internal links is something that most people miss. I didn’t actually realise that is a problem until later on. Was actually too focused on getting good keyword phrases and long tail keywords. I think there are also other aspects to help rank better like putting your keyword phrases in the first paragraph of any content or H1 tag would have more ranking value than keywords at the bottom of your page.

I agree. Finding keyword phrases that pertain to your website is far better than using to just one keyword. The use of a phrases like “free sheet music”, or “free coloring page” are common, and if utilized will bring much greater traffic as the number of competing pages have been significantly reduced.
